Ever since I got into airbrushing, my entire family has expressed interest in trying to get a hold of an airbrush for different reasons. I won't let them touch my babies, so I get them each their own. This is for one of our kids- a son.

PURPOSE
Our son is going to be using this to make game pieces for board games. He is also going to use this for making game boards and other fantasy accessories for board gaming enthusiasts.

COMPRESSOR
This lasts on a charge for about an hour from what I am told, but it is not a good idea to try to use it constantly over and over and over. It needs to rest. He is not using it constantly, so lets it rest in between and it works well for him.

SPRAY
The spray of this seems to work out well so far. It covers what he wants and although he is still in the learning curve part of the process, he is liking it.

CLEANING
Cleaning is easy. You make sure to run some water through and then cleaner at the end. Make sure there is not any paint left or it can dry and ruin the sprayer. So far no problems. You should not have to dismantle this often at all if you clean it well.

PAiNT AND CLEANER
We all only use airbrush paint and cleaner with airbrushes. I tried using diluted acrylics in one of my airbrushes before and find that using airbrush paint instead is a better choice for me. Less issues usually.

THE BOTTOM LINE
This is not difficult to hold or use and so far has performed well for a beginner doing small pieces with it.

MY RATING
FIVE STARS so far. No issues. Having a small airbrush to begin with is a perfect way to decide if you want to continue in the craft or not in the future. It is very mobile and easy to use for different things like cakes, makeup, and various painting and dye.

This is good for makeup but I would not use it on a huge, crafting project if you are familiar with artistic r industrial type airbrush machines. This is better for face or canvas or pastries. Very pretty, matte finish on the unit. Cups are big to avoid having to refill often, Pen is easy to assemble, disassemble & clean.

This airbrush is easy to use, has good coverage, adjustable pressure, and light enough to use without strain. I didn't have any issues with spitting. I'm using paint specifically for airbrush use but I could also just thin down my acrylic paints. Cleaning it is relatively easy but care must be taken to ensure all paint is removed or it will clog. Just run clear water through it between colors and when you're finished. I recommend taking the paint holder off and using the dropper to flush paint out of the nozzle until it runs completely clear. The instructions say to let the device rest periodically. The air compressor does warm up, so you need to let it cool off when that happens. The only detraction is the lack of an on/off button. Instead I have to run it through each speed setting to turn it off, but that's a minor annoyance.

I compared the compressor with my middle class compressor (with air tank) and can achieve the same results.

The airbrush pistol:
This is a solid starter pistol without any downsides compared to other budget pistols. I was able to reproduce most of the patterns and small dots / lines / fading compared to my HS evolution limited edition. As usual the difference is in the control and precision of the pistol. If it is 100+ price difference worth for you, is your decision.
In my opinion this airbrush pistol can be used for 100% of normal canvas use and 95% of miniature techniques.
Just to work on smallest details, the control and precision of a high end product will be better.
